Express Yourself Through Kathak: Mousumi
I started learning Kathak at the age of 5 year old.
I received the foundation training from Asha Dedhulkar, Disciple of Gopi Krishnaji, Benaras Gharana. After his death, I continued my journey in Kathak under the guidance of Dr. Rajeshri Shirke, Lucknow Gharana I have been a student of Kathak for over 20 years now. I was a recipient of the Jawahar Bal Bhavan award and have received multiple opportunities to learn from some of the Legends of kathak in India and the US. I continue my learning in the US, under mentorship of Archana Joglekar.
In the US, I have been collaborating, choreographing with Performing artists for the last 15 years.
